Join us at 2pm BST on Sat 18th September for a special online edition of the Moving Image Salon with featured guest artist Marianna Simnett.

The Moving Image Salon is a regular gathering for artists working in moving image and experimental filmmaking. It is a relaxed and open space for conversation and exchange about contemporary moving image practices, a networking event and critical forum.

This month’s featured guest will be artist Marianna Simnett, who will present her film The Bird Game, followed by a conversation about her practice.

Marianna Simnett is an artist working with film, installation, performance, sculpture, music and drawing. Her work uses vivid and visceral means to explore the body as a site of transformation. Working with animals, children, organs, and often performing herself, Simnett imagines radical new worlds filled with untamed thoughts, strange tales and desires.

The second half of each Salon is an informal open platform for conversations and networking. Artists are free to introduce themselves and discuss their projects in a supportive environment.

Free to attend but places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment!

Zoom links will be sent out on the morning of the event.

The Moving Image Salon is hosted by artist Daniel & Clara and is presented as part of MIA NOW, a project kindly supported by Arts Council England.
