You are invited to join us at 2pm BST on Sat 7th August for a special online edition of the Moving Image Salon with featured guest artist Himali Singh Soin.
The Moving Image Salon is a regular gathering for artists working in moving image and experimental filmmaking.
This month’s featured guest will be artist Himali Singh Soin, who will be joining us to speak about her practice and show her new moving image work, static range.
Himali Singh Soin uses poetic erasures to intervene in the lacunae of archives and metaphors to construct speculative cosmologies that reveal nonlinear entanglements between human and non-human life. She works at the junction of technology, the body, ecological thinking and the experience of time in love. Her methodology explores the myriad ways of knowing, from scientific to intuitional, indigenous and alchemical processes.
The second half of each Salon is an informal open platform for conversations and networking. Artists are free to introduce themselves and discuss their projects in a supportive environment.
Free to attend but places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment!
Zoom links will be sent out on the morning of the event.
The Moving Image Salon is hosted by artist Daniel & Clara and is being presented as part of MIA NOW, a project kindly supported by Arts Council England.
