You are invited to join us on Sat 6th Feb for a special online edition of the Moving Image Salon.
Presented by artist Daniel & Clara, the Moving Image Salon is a regular gathering event for artists working in moving image and experimental filmmaking – a relaxed and open space for conversation and exchange about contemporary moving image practices, a networking event and critical forum.
For this event we have two featured guests Tereza Stehlíková and Adonia Bouchehri, they will each present a recent film which will be followed by an open discussion in response to their work and the themes of tactile cinema, touch, the senses and ASMR.
Places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment!
Zoom links will be sent out on the morning of the event.
Adonia Bouchehri is a London based moving image artist whose work investigates how the images we live and grow up with affect our bodies. She perceives images as agents which can inhabit the body and structure our feelings and perceptions. Utilising a combination of CGI, live action footage, sculpture and writing, Adonia creates spaces that bring together elements from lived experiences as well as those that spring from an imaginary place.
Tereza Stehlíková is a Czech/UK artist based in London. She holds a PhD from the Royal College of Art, where she researched the tactile language of moving image. She is currently engaged in a cross-disciplinary research, investigating how moving image can be used to communicate embodied experience, by exploring multi-sensory aesthetics and embodiment.
