Welcome to the first issue of Moving Image Artists Journal!
This inaugural issue is entirely dedicated to the 2019 edition of the Slow Film Festival (SFF) which took place in the village of Mayfield last October.
The world’s only annual film festival dedicated entirely to works of Slow Cinema, the Slow Film Festival programme focuses on contemplative, experimental works that explore duration, the margins of society and our relationship with the environment. Over two days, SFF gathered together a wide selection of feature length and short works ranging from documentary, experimental and fiction coming from all over the world.
Here we gather articles by some of the festival’s programmers, jury and visiting critics as well as interviews and transcripts with some of the participating filmmakers.
