MIA Issue 2 May 2020

Welcome to the second issue of Moving Image Artists Journal!

In this issue you will find 13 articles by contemporary moving image artists and experimental filmmakers whose work explores the themes of nature and landscape.

Each contributor was invited to write about their own work, on their own terms, in a form that best suited their ideas and creative processes. The articles are as varied as the works discussed but as you will see a number of ideas and sensibilities echo throughout.

All the works discussed offer personal and poetic responses to landscape and the natural world, alongside explorations of the possibilities of moving image as an art form.

So we invite you to join us on a journey over land and sea, through mythic forests and open moors, past farmlands, meadows and fields of standing stones, while delving deeper into the mysterious landscapes of the human mind!
